LSBU Airlines

Now I am involved in a team of Information System Analysts to Improve LSBU Airlines poor and old system.

LSBU Airlines is a low cost regional carrier that operates primarily in the European Union. At the present time, LSBU Airlines operates its own part manual and part computer based reservation information system.

All reservations on LSBU Airlines flights are placed through LSBU’s own regional reservation offices. Flights are not booked through other travel agents and LSBU Airlines does not participate in industry-wide reservation services at present.

Despite LSBU’s best efforts at processing passenger reservations... sometimes double bookings occur: such as two passengers being booked into the same seat on the same flight on the same day. In such cases LSBU‘s central administrative officers pass the details of the double booked reservations on to an LSBU Passenger Care Advisor who will contact (usually phone) the passenger(s) affected and attempt to make alternative flight reservations or offer a refund where alternatives cannot be found. In the event of a refund a credit/debit card is required; cash refunds are not given but are instead paid by bank transfer to the bank account or credit/debit card of the passenger’s choice.

TO CUT THE STORY SHORT LSBU AIRLINES SYSTEM IS A COMPLETE MESS AT THE MOMENT.
My later posts will show you how my team will build their new system under my supervision as a Project Manager.
